LG OPTIMUS 4X HD TO COME TO EUROPE

LG CERTAINLY HAS SOME GOOD SMARTPHONES AND THE LG OPTIMUS 4X HD IS ONE THAT A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR. IT WAS ALREADY EXPECTED FOR THE OPTIMUS 4X HD TO COME TO EUROPE SOMETIME THIS MONTH AND AS EXPECTED, THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT IS GOING ON. SOME OF THE COUNTRIES THAT WILL BE GETTING THIS JUICY DEVICE ARE GREAT BRITAIN, SWEDEN, ITALY, GERMANY AND THE NETHERLANDS.

The LG Optimus 4X HD is powered by the NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor. With this being said and done, you are looking at a quad-core smartphone that is certainly irresistible. The screen is a 4.7 inch True HD IPS LCD. The operating system that powers it on the other hand is the Android Ice Cream Sandwich which is certainly the latest and the best of the lot.
Other than that, users will be getting a 1GB RAM, 16GB worth of internal storage, a high capacity 2,150 mAh battery, all for a thickness (or thinnest perhaps) of only 8.9mm. With all of this being said and done, you can expect the LG Optimus 4X HD to be big. However, only time will tell if it can compete with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S III or the iPhone 4S for that matter.

ASUS TRANSFORMER PAD TF300

ASUS CERTAINLY MAKES SOME GOOD TABLETS AND THE TRANSFORMER PRIME WAS AN EXAMPLE OF THAT. IT WAS ONE OF THE FIRST TABLETS THAT FEATURED A QUAD- CORE PROCESSOR AND THE PRICE CAN BE CONSIDERED TO BE QUITE CHEAP AT THAT TIME AS WELL. HOWEVER, THOSE THAT WANT TO GET A CHEAPER ALTERNATIVE CAN LOOK FORWARD TO THE ASUS TRANSFORMER PAD TF300.

TECH-PLUZ
Sporting a 10 inch screen with IPS display, the ASUS Transformer Pad gives out accurate colors with a good viewing angle. Inside it is the Tegra 3 goodness that was already present in the Transformer Prime and along with it is a 1GB RAM as well. The performance on this device is still one of the best in the market and with its cheap price, it might be a favourite of many as well. Other interesting features include an 8MP camera at the back and also the dock which is quite synonymous with the ASUS tablet series.
Battery life on the other hand stands at around 8 hours although this number is 2 more when you connect it to the docking station. As far as the pricing is concerned, it is only $379 for the 16GB version and $399 for the 32GB. To get any other tablets at this price with similar specs would be hard if not impossible.

MOBILE INTERNET BROADBAND ADVANTAGES AND USERS FEARS ON EXPENSES

Mobile Internet Broadband is an increasingly popular technology. It is a technology that allows you to use your high-speed internet wherever you are. However, with theincreasing expenses, most people have started to second-guess the technology. ButMobile Broadband is not that expensive as people think it is, actually it can be very handy for those people who needs to travel most from country to country and who don’t have much time to spend on desktop computers for internet browsing. You can also use your Mobile Internet Broadband service with your personal laptops, notebooks, tablets or even with your iPad's. One can easily differentiate between Mobile Internet Broadband with any other broadband service worldwide. So today we will discuss the advantages and fears of users on Mobile Internet Broadband Expenses.

What is Mobile Internet Broadband?

Mobile broadband is a service that allows you to connect to the internet without using a fixed land-line. High Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) is the technology that has enabled us to use high-speed internet wherever we go. For convenience, it is more commonly known as “Mobile Broadband”.

Normal fixed-line connection utilizes a modem in order to connect a user with a service provider. With mobile broadband, a special stick or USB dongle is usually required toconnect to the internet. The stick or dongle usually plugs right into a normal USB port.
Most devices are simply “plug and play”, allowing you to simply connect the dongle and use the internet right away. Others require certain software in order to get the internet running.

Advantages of Mobile Internet Broadband

Fixed-line internet is the most common form of internet today. It is through a physical line that internet is delivered to most homes and companies today. These lines usually connect to a modem, which can then transmit the internet to other devices using either wired or wireless means. However, mobile broadband does not work that way.

Quite possibly the biggest advantage of mobile broadband is the fact that there is no fixed-line involved. All you need to do is plug your USB internet Dongle into a USB port and you are free to use the internet. By not having a fixed-line in place, you can use your mobile internet connection wherever you go.

Furthermore, motor homes are significantly benefitting from mobile broadband. Because motor homes are always on the move, there really is no possibility of a fixed-line. For such people, mobile broadband really is the smarter, in fact, the only approach to internet.
Users Fears on Mobile Internet Broadband

With mobile broadband being an emerging technology, you may think that it is quite expensive. Although many companies charge for the initial dongle, others do not. The base price of high speed internet is, therefore, comparable to normal fixed-lineinternet. In essence, the amount of data on your plan and the speed of the internet changes with the amount you wish to pay.

The biggest fear that you may, and should, have is that of the speed and data cap. When compared to normal fixed-line internet, most mobile broadband plans offer a significantly smaller data cap. This can be problematic for people who download a lot of data, or use data intensive programs such as Skype.

Most mobile broadband packages come with the phrase “speeds up to x Mbps”. This states the maximum speed you can get on your wireless connection. Unfortunately, the speed you get on mobile broadband is usually slower than those of fixed-line connections. However, if you live in close proximity to an exchange, you can get very fast speeds.

Many plans have started to emerge that allow you to pay as you go. These “pay-as-you-go” plans require that you ONLY pay for the amount of data that you have used. In this day and age, the average amount of data used is quite large.
People fear the amount of data they use. If you use Skype a lot, you probably know how much data it can use. Pay-as-you-go methods can stack up a big bill mainly because you do not have control over the amount of data used (in certain cases such as Skype).

Furthermore, sharing a mobile broadband connection is not easy unless you purchase a specific modem from the service provider; a needed purchase by most people. This is an extra cost that most people do not want mainly because sharing increases the amount of data used. In cases of home usage, this can be a detrimental expense.

As technology improves, we may see faster speeds on mobile broadband connections. As time progresses, we may see higher data caps. Despite all its advantages, the expense of smaller data caps combined with higher extra data usage charges really does deter people from mobile broadband. Only time will tell if the speeds are increased and the caps raised.

IMPROVE INTERNET DOWNLOAD SPEED OF SMARTPHONES/TABLETS THROUGH DATA TRACKING

RELEVANCE OF DATA USAGE TRACKING SMARTPHONE APPS TO INCREASE INTERNET DOWNLOAD SPEED:

Special applications made for Smartphones and Tablets, often called 'Apps',consume data during download and after installation. Even if your data plan is unlimited and you have high speed internet, you may find your phone slows down once you've exceeded a data threshold set by your phone provider or if you're downloading more than one app at a time. One way to avoid downloading slowdowns on your phone is by tracking how much data you’re actually using on your phone, allowing you to pinpoint the problem.

Mobile Data Tracking:

Various data tracking applications are available for installation on Smartphones. You'll need an app that is made to work on your phone's mobile platform. Once you've downloaded and installed the application, you can view data usage consumption by app and associated activities.

For example, a tracking app can show you how much data the game you installed used to download. The app will also show how much data the game used while you played it and while you saved your game or connected with other players. If the game updates, you'll be able to see how much data it used to download and install the updates and how often it updates. You can track data usage for all your apps over a period of time, such as one month, to get a clearer idea of what apps use the most data and why.

Improving Download Speeds:

Once you know what applications consume the most data, you can remove the apps or tailor your downloading schedule. For example, if you know you have an app that uses a lot of data while running, shut that app down before you download anything. Look forpared down, more streamlined apps that do the same thing as your data-hogging apps. You may be able to find another app for your phone that does the same thing as the app you wants to remove without using as much data.

Try downloading apps wirelessly, using a high speed internet connection instead of using your mobile internet connection to download the app. You'll still need mobile internet service to install and run the app in most cases.

Warning Signs:

Check the most commonly reported data figures for your currently installed apps to make sure your installations are not using a lot more data than other users are reporting. If you have an app that uses significantly higher data than what other users report, your app may be infected or corrupted. Uninstall the app and run an anti-virus app if you suspect your phone has an infected application. If the app is corrupted, you'll have to uninstall and reinstall the Applications.

If you see data usage reported from an app you don't recognize, it's likely to be a virus. Viruses may cause your phone to use more data and have poor app performance and will slow your speeds in general. Run an anti-virus app immediately if you suspect a virus.

A data tracking app is very useful if you're having trouble with downloading, but you must check the results thoroughly, so you can identify the issue you're having. You may have to get rid of a problem app even if you can't find a replacement in some cases, particularly if the app in question is a major data consumer.

TOSHIBA'S AT330 TABLET REVIEW, SPECIFICATION & DETAILS

TOSHIBA’S NEW AT330 TABLET REVIEW AND CONCEPT

Hot on the heels of the recent release of Apple’s New Ipad 3, Toshiba have unveiled what consumers can expect from their latest addition to the growing tablet market. With tablets becoming extremely popular, a variety of computing and electronics companies are hastily coming up with new ideas for tablets, and putting them into production as soon as they can. At the moment tablets seems to have a few things in common, namely having a touchscreen display, having a high battery life, and being smaller than laptops and netbooks. With the release of Tohiba’s AT330, one of these constant similarities is blown completely out the water. Get a sneak preview by watching this video.

Staggering Screen

At first glance’s, the Toshiba AT330 looks far too big to be tablet, especially if you line it up with other tablets and compare. The AT300 blurs the line between tablet and laptop, especially when you consider that one of the MacBook Pro models come with a 13.3-inch screen, and the MacBook Air has a model with an even smaller screen. You may have guessed already, but now it can be confirmed that Toshiba’s newest tablet has a staggering 13.3-inch screen. Its size is comparable to that of a portable television set, which is ironic considering one of its features, which will be explained a little later.
There has been much discussion over whether the screen is just too big, and at the moment it seems that it’s the largest tablet produced so far. Apple’s latest release, the iPad 3, sports a 9.7-inch display, but as far as the rumours go the Toshiba can’t better it for resolution size. It seems that this 13.3-inch behemoth is has a screen resolution of 1600x900 or 1920x1200, but there has been no confirmation from Toshiba to confirm either of these sizes. Either way, it is apparent that Toshiba are not trying to out trump Apple when it comes to screen resolution, but are going one better in regards to screen size.

A Tablet First

Before going into exactly what other specifications the AT330 has, there is one other addition that draws a distinction from all other tablets out there to buy. In what seems to be a blast from the past, reminiscent of the days when hand-held television sets were a funky accessory to have, an antenna and TV tuner has been added to the new Toshiba tablet. It seems a strange move, especially when those old hand-held televisions were notorious for having pretty awful signal, and being difficult to watch at the best of times. This has no deterred Toshiba however, and when it was unveiled at Toshiba World 2012 in Germany, it was displayed on a stand which made it seem even more TV-like. At the moment it is not known if the tablet will come with a remote control, or if the TV tuner will really display a picture worthy of the extra-large 13.3-inch screen.
The antenna itself is pretty flimsy looking, although it does tuck neatly inside of the tablet when it’s not being used. Once it is pulled out and fully extended, users can manipulate its position to get the best signal. There are no reports on how well the antenna and TV tuner actually works, but Toshiba are offering something that no other tablet has got. It would be perfect for watching while on holiday in a motorhome, but could end up spiking up your motorcaravan insurance premium if you want it covered. Only time will tell if this addition will actually take off, or if other tablet manufactures will follow suit, but it seems unlikely. With the widespread use of video streaming services, the development of cloud storage, and easy downloading of television shows and films, the old-school antenna and TV tuner could be a flop.

A rundown of what else to expect

Despite the new additions the AT330 makes to the tablet market, it falls into line with other tablets in other areas. For example, it uses a powerful quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor, so it will able to handle almost all tablet activities quickly, from watching videos to browsing the web. It is equipped with two cameras, like most other tablets, one on the front and one on the rear. The rear is thought to be a 5 megapixel camera, and the front is a 1.3 megapixel snapper, very similar to the latest iPad. It will run the latest in the series of Android operating systems, the Android 4.0.1 Ice Cream Sandwich. To add to that, it has some great connectivity options. It comes with a HDMI port, along with a SD memory card port, a microUSB port, and a port for a SIM card. With all this to offer, there could be high demand for this rather big tablet yet, so watch this space.
